About The Artwork

An impressive sunset over near Cornière (Switzerland), I had to paint it. I did this small painting on paper* to study the effect of light and its combination of cold and warm tones of the clouds. *Acid-free paper specially designed for oil painting. Not framed. A space is left around the painting. Total size: approx. 12 W x 12.5 H cm. Size of the painting: approx. 10 W x 10.7 H cm Title, certification stamp and artist's signature will be added on the back of artwork at the time of purchase.

Born in Geneva (Switzerland), Hubert Schneebeli studied art in Switzerland and the USA. While based in Los Angeles (California) he was involved in projects in the entertainment and film industry. Since he has been back in his hometown, his time has been split between fine-art, graphic design and teaching. His work is often considered impressionist, figurative and realist. Most of his paintings are landscapes and still lifes. He also expresses himself in other forms of artwork such as drawings and digital paintings. He has had exhibitions in Switzerland and France. His art on Saatchi Art so far consists of small oil studies on paper. His landscapes of Geneva and other places represent those fleeting moments that Nature offers us and that he likes to fix on canvas. Each painting is an invitation to contemplation, to evasion.
