I have always been inspired by water and the innate colors and designs created by a liquid in nature. I started to explore the nature of the layered aspects of water using a layering technique of acrylics on a photographic medium that created the depth that I was seeing in water in nature. This is all done to inspire and give the sense of exploring water in all its forms. My layering technique allows the unconscious to transfer into the work. My use of color and spatial arrangements enhance the composition and bring the truth of experience onto the page. When choosing a name, I examine the work and a realization of what has influenced it comes into existence. Painted with fluid and high flow acrylics on Dura-Lar film (this film has a matte translucent drawing surface, it allows a flexible smooth surface to paint on, which can roll easily and or be stored flat to save space).
