This is a small illustration painting of mine amongst others which I like to create from time to time. As I like satire and illustration, usually I include a little humour and fun in them, making the work more light hearted. Ever been caught out and had the spotlight on you ....aha! Well, you just might get away with it if you look as cute as this little fellow who seems ever so innocent. It's about that moment of surprise and also about the cuteness. Gulp! is one of my most popular characters. By the way, this painting does not need a frame as it is painted neatly right around the sides as well. Zeal.

Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. Nevertheless, there is a realistic and a sober aspect to some of his work too. His different genres of works are ongoing series which are added to from time to time, whether it is his Aviary, Abstract, Allegoric or any other style he employs. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
