VIEW IN MY ROOM
Nothing deep, really. This is something I had wanted to paint for a long time, but I always worried that this seductive concept will look too weird compared with what I show here otherwise. For this reason, I gave up on this thought over and over again. Until now, when I am finally ready to embrace my inner devil, I believe I can find a way to make a painting of male butt that looks perfectly okay in public, but also sexually gay enough to explain my personal interest. And yet, it's always easier to say than to paint. In the beginning, I sketched at least 10 different compositions, adding other elements to make the painting become more artistic and less erotic. Just after I finished the first draft, I felt it looked like a disaster, and I felt lost too. Under this frustration, I decided to take few days off to clear my mind, but I still could not stop myself from thinking of how to paint a man's butt which can evoke the desires of gay-manity, without falling into the cliché of pornography. All of the sudden, I realised one important thing, the most important thing of all! It's just a butt, all I want to paint is a nice butt of a man, how complicated it can be? It’s nothing fancy, there is no deep meaning, it’s literally just a butt! A butt with tight blue jeans, and this butt must be strong enough to tear the jeans, revealing the innocent white underwear. yeah~~ this is what I call sexy, babe! lol ps. This guy wearing scotch & soda, so I assume this is a dutch butt. xoxox

My art wants to put a smile on your face. All of my paintings tell a story, and every story has a little twist. You'll have to look closely: details matter to me. I was born and grew up in Taiwan, and moved to the Netherlands in 2014, where I am again living now after a 2-year stint in San Diego. You can check out my Instagram for a mix of work in progress and snapshots of my life with husband and cat.
