About The Artwork
Lady of the Lake is one of a four part series of watercolor paintings inspired by the King Arthur Legends. My interest is to bring a dreamlike and magical quality to the themes of death, mortality, and the fantasies of living for forever. Watercolor brings illumination and softness of water and magic to this scene of King Arthur and Merlin approaching the Lady of the Lake by boat to receive the sword, Excalibur.
