I painted this piece in the spring of 2021 based on the materials and sketches that I made in the summer of 2020. In the summer of 2020, I attended a concert of improvised music in a Warsaw bar. And I saw this girl on vocals. She had a lot of life, wildness, even to the point of marginality, and at the same time a lot of charm. If I were to describe this mood, I would remember the Caracas film Lovers from the New Bridge. I invited her to pose for me. I photographed her in a field in the wild part of the city. The following spring, I saw that she had given birth to a baby. That is, at the moment when I met her and took photographs and sketches, she was pregnant. She had a lot of life in her.

I was born in 1991 in Minsk in Belarus. I am one of those artists who cannot but create. My creative processes are intertwined with my personal life. I live and develop through my art. I have a lot of creative energy, which I express through painting, photography, objects and videos. I am inspired by human bodies, faces, nature, cinema, poetry. My creativity is structured in such a way that I become interested in the particular themes that I explore. I am interested in the themes of femininity and female initiations in this project of mine “ I call this colour yellow”, the theme of the state of consciousness “If you dance, do dance with trees in a rhythm” of body’s memory “About Home”, and now I am studying on vulnerability in the Yearning for Paradise cycle. My works can be found in the Museum of Drawing in Skopje, Makedonia, an album of artworks in The Library of The Museum of modern Art New York, as well as private collections of Belarus, Poland, France, Netherlands, Andorra. http://tatsianakarpachova.com/ https://www.instagram.com/tatsiana_karpachova/
