About The Artwork
Unframed charcoal on acid free paper. This painting was inspired by my wife, this particular piece/pose was chosen for a number of reasons. We were currently in the mist of cyclone Winston on a island in the south west pacific. The power was out on the entire island and the storm outside was raging. The work reflects the union of a couple under adverse conditions and a metephor for struggles that people face in life. The model moulded into her surroundings with ease, leaving a strong,powerful impression whilst maintaining a relaxed composure.
