About The Artwork

I like surfing on the reef spots except for one thing — the reef itself! Especially during the low tide — scratched ribs and back, dinged or even broken boards, and you don't wanna know what it is to remove the sea urchins from your feet. What's the point then you ask? Feeling alive! Seeing the solid rock pop up from the water right underneath you, you can feel how time slows down and all your problems and worries fade away, shrinking to one simple question — will i make it? So shout out to all the low tide warriors out there and remember: No reef — No glory!

I was born in a small town in the middle of Siberia, Russia back in 1985 in a family of an artist and a librarian. Did my first commercial mural at the age of 14 (two years before finishing the art school). Moved to Saint-Petersburg to get my IT engineer diploma (which i did actually), but in the process decided to become a graphic designer. Starting with ink artworks on paper, i went all the way to canvas, murals, plates even. I usually refer to my style as "lazy cheating" - limited 2-3 colors, black and white mostly, dotted shading. I pretty much dig the poster aesthetics as well as the different language letters and writings (oriental especially) and of course symbols! My works are scattered around the world - from United states to Bali and Australia, private collections mostly. In 2019 I moved to Sri-Lanka to live the neverending summer, so here we are.
