Map of Possibilities Print

Map of Possibilities is created as one of my last and largest burlap pieces of 2019. The base was already of a beautiful rich warm ochre color so I tried to work it by celebrating the original dyed colour. It is made together with the work "Raw encounters', created in front of the horizon at the beach. Later there were many pieces of fake and real leather added, arabic thread with their rich colours, the texture defined by the leather being upwards or downwards. As a finishing touch the strong cobalt piece of textile above and under the work that I plan to add a bamboo stick to so it sticks out on both sides of the work. I was really happy and relieved after adding the blue which really gave the work an eastern, tibetan feel and the colour offering balans to the warm colour palette of the work. I call it map because the basic shapes resemble a map, a language, bringing you someplace of possibility. H 209 W 127 is the actual size,
