I return once again to the theme of a mother caring tenderly for a child. I hope that this piece brings back wonderful memories for the viewer. In this composition, the child is not feeling well but the gentle embrace of a mother brings comfort. The faces in this composition are the focal points, of course, so they are rendered with greater detail. As the eye gazes further from the face, the brushstrokes are more and more broad, tending to tell the viewers eye to head back toward the focal points.
