As a painter she stands out for her tenacious search for colors that submerge in dreamlike transparencies and perceptions insinuated in different planes of depth, mixing techniques and styles in “cocktails” of generous visual flavor. Ines Alvarado dedicates herself with vocation and devotion to learning and discovering, also teaching, transmitting and disseminating Art, and then and before all of the above: creating it. The virtuous circle of a way of living. Color is my main driving force. The subjects I choose vary between portraits, abstractions and still lifes. I enjoy transparencies for which I always use glazes, thin layers of paint. I work with clean colors and variety in primaries. The elaboration of color, in watercolor, acrylic or oil, is without a doubt what represents me the most.
