Inspired by the movie „Perfume: The Story of a Murderer”(2006), the series is comprised of four A3 watercolors, later printed on canvas.The set encapsulates the story of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, the murderer with an ultrasensory sense of smell in four key moments, like the discovery of him as a newborn or the ritual of him preparing a perfume in his laboratory. The watercolors are marked by a care for detail that is not directed at the characters but at the environment. People's faces are sketchy, even Jean Baptiste's, but the objects are intricate, with extra attention given to textures and shadows.In black and white only, the series is dramatic but somewhat silent, showcasing the tense atmosphere of the thriller and Jean-Baptiste's solitude.
