Painted in 2019, Potrait of a Taxi Man derives from a photographic potrait taken of a Thai Tuk Tuk driver in Suphan Buri, Thailand. Todd, who was living and working in the province at the time, spotted the taxi man who was enjoying his brief respite from toiling under the burning sun. -- Taxi man, Slick of the hand, hunting pondside next to lonely street signs As ominous faces hurriedly race by, all accustomed to death’s dance.
