About The Artwork
The work consists of 3 layers of painting, which is a creative recycling. The first and second layers become the basis for the upper layer of the painting and are included in the dialogue with each other. On the lower layer depicted the motif of the landscape of Arkhip Kuindzhi who is the 19 century Russian landscape painter-revolutionist. Through the colors of nature, he tried to reflect his civilian feelings and emotional states against the prevailing academic style which was dominated in Imperial Russia. Second layer - a white coating, immersing the forest landscape under the white vibrating haze of an inarticulate future. Top layer – broken screen fragment. Nowadays. Nature as our exhaustible resource. Is it a forest that is constantly depleted of resources or is it a conversion of a physical resource into a billions of bits wide information forest? Romantic ruins of the future.
