And judging by the look on his face, he got lucky last night. I love inserting humor and irony as themes in my work. In this piece, I give a moose human characteristics in the form of a human-like smile and common jargon relating to single male behavior. This painting provides a good example of my flat, colorful style. I use outlines to highlight various elements, along with textural brush work to emphasize the coarseness of certain features. The patterned background adds a quirkiness that is familiar in many of my compositions. This piece's edge is painted green. Hanging hardware is installed.
