About The Artwork

The inspiration came from the usual suggestion you get when you start painting, from people who does not know a lot about it, The Original title is They say "if you want to become Someone do something which resembles a Banksy". Which is not the easiest thing to do at all. The goalkeeper depicted, who is throwing the thug flower as in Banksy's famous stencil, il Gordon Banks, legendary goalie of the England team which won the World cup in '66. A true legend in himself. It was called Banksy by his teammates. Flowers are wrapped in a pink newspaper, tribute to Gazzetta dello Sport, an Italian sport newspaper. For all the stencils I made I set the limit to 20 one of a kind pieces (I throw away the cardboard and plastic used for stenciling) plus a number zero (the one already listed here) and I apply a stencil technique without bridges.

When I started painting, the most important thing for me was to see the shadow of myself reflected in the curvature of this planet. This highly addictive practice brought me to the decision of becoming a full-time artist. A full time self taught artist who translates on canvas his uncertain conclusions about how life and world work. My artworks reflect the consciousness of our limitations as human beings and the endurance of my own boundaries as human being. That's why I try not to stick neither to a technique, nor to a medium. I consider myself a self-teaching instead of self-taught artist as I prefer to keep going.
