About The Artwork

The still life is painted with sewing brushes and sculpted according to the shape of each object. Pastose writing combined with bright and deep colors of rustic cherry wine create a mood of autumn ripeness and coolness. Colored bottles create a balance between graphics and painterly tones, subdued in silvery colors. The canvas is specially primed hard for the pasty technique so that the paints do not crack. Description: The harvest autumn in the countryside is always inspiring. I remember, in 1993, as a student of the Surikov Institute who came home from Moscow for the holidays, I was drawn to suburban dachas. The desire not to miss all the moments of nature and to reflect everything in my sketches was the main thing for me, because I took all the requisites for the still life table only from the garden. It was always interesting to create in parallel what happens to nature in your own experience, what nature thanks in return. This year fascinated with an extraordinary harvest in my own garden with peppers, eggplants and pumpkin. In the center, cherry wine in a dark bottle has become dominant, shining through with its lovely color in unison. Here`s, in a still life, all saturated with paints with a cherry taste of wine, in a laconic silvery environment of reflexes after a clean rain. It was an attempt to bake this grace into eternity!))

Kabyl Halykov is a painter, color prevails in his work mainly. His palette of colors is wide range from emotionally bright to monochrome-pastel tones, which are able to convey the emanations of the world from realistic to intentional-phenomenological levels of being. Knowledge of the history of the philosophy of art, the concept of different cultural eras, helps to build the world in your understanding more firmly, colorfully and cheerfully. The choice of styles is associated with the representation of the subject-material world of still life, landscapes, everyday life, ethnic groups, often inspired by folklore, myths, esoteric mysticism, sometimes intertwined with modern discourse of worldview. His other professional side as an artist is to be a set designer, expressing himself in the language of theater, scenography, visual dramaturgy. The graphic sketch sheets for the sets are more graphic and are aimed at recognizing scene space, events, situations and internal conflicts in different categories. He tries to convey the transcendent, intentional and fleeting in stage content, paintings using projection-holographic expressive means in modern language. For this, he has professional, practical, figurative-associative and conceptual knowledge and experience.
