About The Artwork

This painting is about a feeling. It is about how I would feel to be standing in a beautiful garden (Giverny perhaps) in the pouring rain, just as it is about to stop and be taken over by the sun. Many layers of opaque and translucent pigment make up this painting. I am currently [Feb 2016] working on a 10ft x 4ft vertical diptych in this style. Watch for it in the coming weeks. From the side of the painting, in the light, there are wet [gloss] rain drops, interspersed with fields of matte. It is definitely an experiential work. Edge painting, wired and ready to hang. On loan to Century Homes | Contemporary Display Home | Available for immediate sale. Important shipping note: The actual shipping size is 42x55x12, as the diptych is shipping with 2- 36x48" canvases. Below it says 72, but in fact the length is 1/2 of that.

In my studio, accidents happen, and that moves my work forward. It is always exciting to watch work take on a life of its own. I begin with the end in mind, and always land in a different place. I work hard to develop original works – avoiding trends and following the direction of the work – in the moment. My colourful works reflect my love of colour, and design. Works are held in private and public collections worldwide.
