My name is Daria Gerasimova (GerDa) and I work in such artistic styles as realism and modern impressionism, (all in oil painting). I create a coastal painting depicting a human figure. They are mostly women. I like to draw warm summer landscapes, which depict happy and free from difficult life people. My artworks are a reminder of the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time at the beach, enjoying the sunshine, and listening to the waves crash on the shore. I work with large semi-abstract brushstrokes in the alla prima technique. It helps me to convey the feeling of movement.
