"I wear myself out trying to render the orange trees so that they're not stiff but like those I saw by Botticelli in Florence. It's a dream that won't come true.” Berthe Morisot I wanted to paint a large painting of my ladies, but I wanted it very colourful with rich reds, blues and greens, I wanted the painting to make a statement to look stunning hanging on a wall with the right lighting. I looked to Botticelli for inspiration I just love his use of colours. My goddess in the middle unlike the other two is dressed as if ready to venture out, I wanted her to look dramatic and goddess like. Lady in blue to her right holding hands and head bowed slightly as in reverence. Lady of many colours on the left also head bowed but with a slight arrogance with her body turned slightly away have being waiting on the goddess, maybe she wants to be the goddess. All three ladies are lying on a lustrous bed of silken scarfs and cushions, their hands adorned by gloves so their touch is sensuous. They are exquisite, voluptuous, luscious timeless and without boundaries or nationalities.

Thailand
Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings . are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today. Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
