With the ongoing plastic crisis, this painting is a narrative that describes one of our beloved characters (The Little Mermaid.) with a modern twist. We see the little mermaid in this painting surrounded by all the things she has collected from the modern world that end up in our oceans. Naive to what the objects are; true to her character, she hoards them and looks on at them in wonder. Little does she know it is our discarded waste. Within the painting, you will see references to the song titled "She's got everything", from the 80's animated movie (The Little Mermaid), see if you can spot them? This painting is a fictional and sad narrative, describing what is going on in our oceans.
