About The Artwork

The series's concept is ''wait''. Artists naturally learn to wait. ''The waiting'' for an artist to produce is inevitable. It waits for long working times with production pains. They have to get inspired, inspire, wait for their thoughts to brew to create a work of art, and wait for an exciting, enthusiastic their spirit 's be ready. The artist also waits to find the power to heal, produce and paint with emotion at the most appropriate moment. Most of all, artists expect the value of their art to be seen by society. According to her, in the meantime, the artist looks around with selectivity in perception and watches dozens of images waiting like her. According to her, these expectations are both meaningful, they require a lot of patience, faith and hope, and the mind of an artist never stops. She says about the serie '''Waiting... It's an action that makes you feel lonely. You have to stop and feel , while you are waiting but going is to be free. An entity that should be free is just waiting steadily. Humans, horses, camels, ships... Also She inspired from her art work series ''Expectations Series'' and ''Island and Man Series'' wich about Nietzsche and being in a island. In order to understand the concept of the island, she has benefited from her memories and impressions of the Prince Islands in Istanbul,Turkey during her stay on the Büyük Ada (Big Island). The artist made this work in 2001 and revised it in 2023.
