About The Artwork

‘What I’ve Done’ : A Tribute to Chester Bennington This is the eighth painting in my ‘Rock Gods’ Series which is a tribute to all the male musicians who, even in death, continue to this day to have an impact on me in some way or another either through their extreme artistic talents, lyrics, melodies, charisma, or just who they are / were. Their music is also very nostalgic for me. Chester Bennington was the lead singer of Linkin Park. The band had a sound that was so unique and different than anything I had heard before, that I was just blown away by them. Chester had a special way of really connecting with his lyrics that was soulful and meaningful, as he sung about his life and his struggles. The producer of the Transformers movie franchise was a massive fan of Linkin Park, so they featured heavily on all the movie soundtracks. Having young Transformer fans in my household, these movies were constantly played, and therefore I listened a lot to them. The first movie featured the song ‘What I’ve Done’, so this was the song that resonated with me the most at that time. Vale Chester May you Rest In Peace, but your music and influence live on forever. 14" x 14" / 35.5 x 35.5cm This work is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas and has been sealed with varnish, is ready to hang and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

"Inspired Art from the Heart" I am an emerging, self-taught acrylic artist born and living all of my life in Perth, Western Australia, until my move to Darwin in the Northern Territory in January 2020. I am inspired by nature, spirit, life, music and lyrics and just like my music tastes, my artistic style, techniques and themes are very eclectic. My ‘inspired art from the heart’ covers a variety of themes which encapsulates my raw uniqueness and spiritual energy as I create vibrant paintings of the beauty found in the details of my life. I have a love of painting and creating and want to share this with others to help inspire, heal, motivate or whatever emotion her paintings evoke. Every ANZAC Day (since 2016), I paint an original artwork to honour the fallen service men, women and animals and their ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. LEST WE FORGET. My mantra is as follows: “Art is like people, no two are the same. Each person has their own destiny, and art will always find its destiny too.”
