About The Artwork
Ai Weiwei is a well-known Chinese artist and political activist. His artworks, including installations and sculptures, often have political and social themes such as censorship, human rights and migration. He has been arrested and forced into exile several times in the past due to his critical stance towards the Chinese government. I got the chance to portray him during his time in Berlin at several lectures. Thereby I tried to show different views of the artist.
