ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Driving down the road in rural New Hampshire after the fall foliage season was over and the leaf peepers were gone I came around a bend to find this grove of Tamarack (aka Larch) in full color though snow was falling around me. It was such a stunning sight that it brought tears to my eyes. The final image combines elements of both photography and watercolor painting. The sky was painted using watercolors and the image was scanned at high resolution to allow for production using archival inks. The base image is then destroyed to protect the value of the signed limited edition.
