About The Artwork
This photograph was taken spontaneously as I was crossing the Queensboro bridge one Sunday morning and found that half of the upper roadway had been turned into a bike lane as part of a five-borough cycling event and was full of cyclists in ponchos (due to the rainy weather). I quickly snapped a series of photos out of the rain-streaked side window of my car. And, coincidentally, the Roosevelt Island Tram was passing directly behind them at the same time providing for a dynamic composition of urban life.
