Boguslawa Trela, a documentary photographer, was born in 1983 and grew up in the small village of Bukie in south-eastern Poland where she currently lives. As a child, she spent a lot of time outside in the meadows and fields, and this shaped her passion for open spaces and nature. In her art, she focuses on human emotions and explores relationships between emotions and landscapes, nature, and art objects. In 2021, she became a laureate of the international TIFF Photography Festival in Wroclaw, for which she presented a set of works entitled Tenderness, exploring the topic of closeness between persons, as well as between persons and other beings, and hinting at the motifs of isolation and alienation. In 2022, she was awarded a scholarship of the Marshal of the Podkarpackie Province. She is a member of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). Privately, she is a keen fan of unregulated wild forests, with all the animate and inanimate nature one can find in them, and of medieval sacral art. https://boguslawatrela.wordpress.com
