Venturing the waters of the cold Icelandic sea early in the morning gave me a great sense of freedom and, at the same time, of belonging in something far greater than me. The excitement of the possibility of getting to see whales, the smells, the mix of stillness and silence with the sounds of all the wildlife around me.
