About The Artwork

During my work in the luxury sector in Milan, I was captured by some details of everyday objects. These objects, in this case glasses, became a piece of my path as an artist who immerses himself more and more in the world of Bacchus. I imagine the feeling of luxury that it transmits to people who, upon entering a room of a restaurant or a sophisticated home kitchen, are fascinated by the light and colors of the work. The original work is printed on aluminum foil, my favorite material.

Hi, I am a qualified Italian sommelier, one of the greatest European corkscrew collectors and an artist. I was born in Belpasso on the Etna volcano in 1973, today I live near the hills of Alto Monferrato in the province of Alessandria (Piedmont-Italy). I started manipulating images on the pc in 2001 and at the moment I have reached around 300 digital works of art inspired by wine (when I drink a good one). The works tell the evolution of my life, from collaborations with companies in the luxury sector in Milan to the discovery of the love for silence in the vineyards and the passion for wine. In 2010 I started carving metal by performing works dedicated to nature (reptiles), then inspired by legends read in books and seen on TV (Games of Thrones, Iron Man, etc.). Since 2019 I have mainly created giant corkscrews in 10: 1 or 5: 1 scale trying to get as close as possible to a reproduction of the original corkscrew, but when I feel the inspiration I also create corkscrews of my own imagination and other figures. I started carving iron using electric tools, then I switched to galvanized sheet metal and aluminum, creating everything by hand. From 2020 all my sculptures are drawn, cut and decorated by hand. I prefer not to use electric tools for my works, so I always do my best to make everything by hand, all this to save precious energy and therefore respect the planet.
