About The Artwork

This was one of my nicest vacations in Croatia , I took this photograph with the inspiration of the Adriatic Sea . My style is to take a natural item or view and to make out of it an abstract or semi abstract picture . It makes the viewer to thank and to see in it his feelings , this is my concept in art making . The blue of the sea with the gold of the sun makes me feel happy !

Ehud Dar - Artist Statement Since ever I have very special love for art and grate love for nature. My habit is to observe the nature to my memory and then to express it in my own way. In the year 1999 I decided to make a change in my life and start a new career although I also enjoyed very much my first career [ economist in a bank ].In my higher education studies I learned economics , so I started to be an Economic Consultor and I had chosen the Arts brunch to be my main consulting subject , and since then I’m working very closely with many artists and designers . From 2005 till 2010 - I had led a large group of Israeli artists that have participated in many USA and Canadian exhibitions . During these journeys I saw various art styles and compositions describing many subjects . Five years ago I decided to make a comeback to my photography art, this time I chose the Figurative/ Abstract and the Abstract style to be my main focus . I prefer these styles as it usually can cause the observer to stop and think about the art that he sees in front of him and to try to explain it by himself. I am getting my inspiration from the beauty of nature. First and foremost - the desert. The Israeli Negev with its impressive and expressive rocks. I also get inspiration from powerful, quiet unique mountains . My subjects are mostly from nature : the desert , mountains , trees , the sea and abstract. In my art portfolio I have 3 projects: “ The Italian Dolomites & Slovenian Alps “ years 2016- 2017 “Desert” with specific focus on the Israeli Negev during the years 2015 - 2019 Abstract is my current project. My mixed-media photography and abstract painting , on which I was inspired from my visit in the 2017 Venice Biennale. My Vision is to create peaceful pieces of art that will bring peace and love into houses and places where they would be presented. That is the reason why my two main projects are: Desert and Mountains , on the one hand they are strong and on the other hand they are quiet and peaceful . My Targets and Plans for the coming years are : 1.To develop and advertise my art and myself as an artist – photographer and painter . 2.To participate in group exhibitions in Israel and abroad. 3.To use the Saatchi Art website as a principal channel for marketing my art . 4.To invest on promoting my name and my art .
