About The Artwork
Portrait of a friend in her studio, curator of a group exhibition of artists working with handmade paper. The exhibition, La Mirada Natural, took place in 2002, ICPNA (Peruvian American Cultural Institute), Lima. The first version of the photograph was made on emulsionated handmade paper and printed by me in a traditional wet darkroom in 2002. I used analog film. This year (2017) I decided to revise and digitilise my old negatives trying to convey a more intimate atmosphere. Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta 100% cotton fine art paper (308 gsm). Size includes 5 cm white border. Signed on the reverse.
