Airplane and flight has always been my passion. I wanted to capture a cross section of the past that shows each element as its own individual character, yet as one unit together in a display of esprit de corps. The mood and feeling I sought to capture in this photograph is one of an organized calmness. A group of soldiers marching into battle, each with their own story, yet silent and calm. A photograph serves this image well as it shows the reality of the authentic airplane tails, staggered in formation. Its subdued color, almost black and white appearance gives it a vintage look and feel which matches the curves and marketings of these vintage planes. A Time Forgotten. The original print is 40x40 inch printed on metal (aluminum) with a wall mount back.
