Only if I was very ill and had to stay in bed was a fire lit in the little grate in my bedroom.I didnt like being upstairs alone.The illness sometimes caused nightmares and I would scream in my sleep. Medicine from the doctor was important as It made me feel something can be done to get better. It came in a blue or green bottle and tasted horrible.Illness was a time when my Mother had to pay attention to me.Most of the time she didnt bother to as she was distracted by other things and people.
