"Old Stories"

This series is a collection of collage and encaustic collage panels that tell stories of my family heritage that have been passed down through the generations. Each work is created by hand cutting paper, old Sears catalogs, currency, vintage maps and Arizona Highway magazines into quilt like patterns. Quilts have long been used to tell stories and in this manner I borrowed from this folk art to retell stories that I grew up hearing as a child.
