The watercolor artwork titled "Addiction" embodies the pursuit of connection amidst internal noise and destruction. Two hands reaching towards each other symbolize the desire for unity and understanding in a world filled with metaphorical television "noise." The broken television in the background represents a barrier, drowning out rational thoughts and creating a lack of perspective. This piece is inspired by the quest for understanding and connection in contemporary society, where informational noise can hinder finding meaning. The artist emphasizes the importance of moments when we strive to overcome this disruption and yearn for mutual understanding. Viewers should perceive and feel the internal struggle and desire for connection, grappling with the challenges of the modern world. The cool colors, such as blue and purple, were chosen to convey emotional coldness and a sense of gravity. The watercolor medium, combined with the selected colors and style, allows for the creation of a soft yet expressive image, highlighting the delicacy of internal struggles. This choice of material and style adds depth to the artwork, enabling viewers to look at the issue from a new, sensitive perspective.

I am a professionally trained illustrator and fine artist with about 7 years of experience in illustrations, drawings, paintings, and graphic design for promotional and educational purposes. I also produced commissioned artwork and realistic paintings for brochures, portraits, logo designs, and character creations, as well as artwork restoration from the modern day to the 15th-century creations. I also have experience copying and painting orthodox icons. I love the creative process and have been painting and drawing since a very young age, often exploring both light and heavy topics that deal with social, psychological, philosophical, and cultural issues. I left my beloved Ukraine, fleeing war, in hopes of building a new life in Canada. I am looking for full-time, part-time, or freelance work in the creative industry. I am proficient in a variety of media, including oil paint, pen, pencil, pastels, watercolors, acrylic paints, ink, and mixed media.
