I enjoy drawing gestural lines, and this is a continuous line drawing. I didn't lift the pen from the paper, so the line wraps around like a long piece of string.

This bird's blue belly was painted with watercolor. It is the wet-on-wet technique, which enables the color to bloom.

I hope that viewers will find the color calming, since blue is a tranquil color. I chose to do the drawing in ink because it is permanent. Since I could not erase the lines I was drawing, I loosened up and let the lines take on a life of their own.

I have included a shot of the corner, a shot on the wall, and a close-up.
