Coronavida Drawings. Drawing

These series of drawings (from a series of about 100) were donde during the covid enclosure, which in Chile, where I live lasted for about 7 months. On those months we weren't allowed to set foot on the streets, not even to walk, and to go to the supermarket we had to ask for permission to the police. They granted us only twice a week for an hour each time. It was insane. I´m a sculptor, but I couldn't go to my studio, so before becoming crazy I started drawing with ink and watercolors. These drawings represent my sense of suffocation at the situation. The more organic elements represent me, fragile and vulnerable, and the rest are stinging objects which represent the threat of sickness, repression and death. The medium was the only available at home at that time, as I couldn't go to my studio. I want the viewers to identify with whatever feeling of vulnerability they have. xxxxxxxxxxxx
