The fishermen are collecting the fish out of the nets. Every man has his own story but when they are working together and working it doesn't matter. Does it matter? They are a group. Are they? What defines a group? What is the role of the individual in the group? Those are main questions I try to figure out with my works.

Bertram Landwerlin, born 1987, studied Architecture at the TUM and works in Munich. Most of his drawings focus a group of individuals and the relation to each other. The themes of the large-sized scenes are current as well as historic events. Besides his drawings, he creates sculptures in corporation with graphic-designer Filip Triner, that deal with the transformation of typography into spatial objects.
