Halong Bay # 15 : The Family Drawing

The local name for this group of islands was "Hòn Trống Mái" or Trống Mái (rooster and hen) island. Details of these individual islands that make up hòn Trống Mái were in previous two drawing. They share one name and together they stand like a family. Look like they were in a ceremony.. "I, hence, announce you husband and wife!..". Light forms a diamond shape in the middle. and soft misty islands in background as guests. How fabulous was it! Back to the drawing, now I see a hen but I still could not see the husband as a rooster!. (I still see him as a gateau, a bateau, a cardinal jay or a box fish!) The pile of loose rocks in the middle looks like eggs. These are the boulders that fall off when the split happens. One island splits into two. Foot fossil was made vivid to make aware of living materials of the ocean. I also drew in sea snails, clams, live crabs and swimming fish especially for those who concern and love the ocean, the lagoon, the coral reef.
