In this piece, I invite you to embark on a visual journey that reflects my deep exploration of maps over the years. The early works echo the influence of cartography, capturing the intricate details and interconnectedness found in geographical representations. However, as my artistic evolution unfolded, I discovered a profound inspiration in the cartographic view of mandalas. Rooted in the concept of the Self, as conceptualized by Jung, mandalas became a powerful lens through which I could express the complexity of our inner worlds. These graphical representations, often manifesting in dreams or visions, began to emerge spontaneously in my artwork. As Jung aptly noted, no mandala is identical to another—they are uniquely individual, mirroring the singular essence of each person. It is within this uniqueness that I find the beauty and depth of my creations. The mandala, in its symbolic form, becomes a mirror reflecting the core of our being. In the pursuit of perfect balance and harmony, we often encounter the paradox of living within a "distorted mandala" in real life. It is not a flaw; instead, it is a profound representation of our authentic selves. This imperfect yet deeply personal mandala mirrors the complexities, contradictions, and beauty inherent in the human experience. Through this artwork, I aim to evoke introspection and connection. As you explore the layers and contours of this piece, may you find resonance with your own journey—a journey that, much like a mandala, is uniquely yours, unfolding in its own intricate and beautiful way.
