The theory of relativity proposed by Einstein at the beginning of the 20th century showed that time is relative and maintains an interdependent relationship with space. Therefore, time and space must be treated as a single four-dimensional variable. Massive bodies can bend the fabric of space-time that permeates the entire universe. This illustration is part of the science popularization book "From Black Bodies to the Dark Energy of the Universe," published in 2021; it depicts the curvature of space-time due to a massive object. The work was produced using the pastel chalk-on-paper technique. The drawing portrays space as a web that encompasses everything in the universe.
