Terminal Room Drawing

I began sketching this room shortly before my Dad's diagnosis. He hid an illness from me and I was unaware of how bad his condition was until he ended up in the hospital. Doctors gave a few months to live with his advanced lung cancer. Time became a curse, but not only due to dad's limited time. I was dividing my days between work, my own family, dad, helping my mom, and so many other demands. The orderly room I began with became chopped up like my life. Dad was never a fan of abstract art, but I showed it to him anyway. To my surprise, he aid "Hey, that's neat. That's good."
