About The Artwork
I painted this selfportrait in 2014 in white pencil on black paper, technique I love using as you work from black to white. Some small details were added on white soft pastel to give it some extra light.Nowadays when I see this piece it looks to me like I could see something into the future back then. Gas masks have been my fetish for many years but back then my artworks werent understood as today.The drawing has been exhibited in several venues, including Mexico city's representatives assambly.

I was born in Mexico City in a family of artists, i grew up sorrounded by paintings. I was trainned as an artist in Dublin Ireland and I began showing my work in Buenos Aires, Argentina back in 2013. I call my style POP REALISM because is realism with a tender cartoonish touch between r. I'm fearless about expressing myself and my favourite topics are the dark human feelings, where i add lots of colours and try give them a new meaning. Many of my paintings are part of different private collections in North and South America, Europe and Australia.
