Albert Einstein Installation

This is part of my collection of the 20th century icons using my technique: lacquered metallic nails on a painted wooden plate. The nails were manually installed one by one. There is about 3600 nails on this piece. I can replicate this technique using a photo portrait of anyone. If the 20th century was a century of science, technology and knowledge, Albert Einstein was undoubtedly the protagonist of that progress. He has immensely contributed in many areas of science and have dominated concepts that were unknown before him. Like the relation between mass and energy, or the relativity, just to mention two. Also, important contributes to politics and to philosophy must be mentioned. However, the most important for me, was that his personality, charisma and success was a source of inspiration for millions of young boys and girls to study science and to give contributes to the development of the science and technology.
