About The Artwork

The great Italian artist Giacomo Balla was a painter, sculptor and set designer. He was a leading exponent of Futurism. "The" solidification of Impressionism "constitutes the basis for the development of the painting of Futurist Balla: that is, the passage from the subdivision of the colored pigment of Divisionism to the abstract geometric construction - in its own right - of iridescent interpenetrations: n ° 1, 2, 3 ( 1912). These studies look like gigantic frames captured in space by an imaginary cathode eye. " The picture was made of acrylic, digital and papier mache on a Communication base which is a material similar to Forex, but lighter. As you can see, the work consists of 2 paintings: on the left the work I created (100x50) and on the right the work of the artist (50x40). On the left side I tried to portray the artist by mixing my work with the artist's pictorial elements. The hand holding the brush is printed on Forex and is embossed easily applied by anyone with simple elements (included in the package to be shipped) attached with velcro. Even the papier-mâché nose can be applied with velcro, all already prepared and so simple that even a child would be able to assemble. Due to the particularity, the work must absolutely be placed in a corner of the walls of the house. The portrait is part of a series of portraits by contemporary artists included in an exhibition. The exhibition in question entitled "Contemporanei Sognatori" is a solo show of about 90 paintings, which I created by exhibiting them, by invitation, at the Bracci Pagani museum system in Fano Italy between December 2021 and January 2022. Born in Italy in Marche region, after many year of life in Milano. I attended the art high school and the Book art school in Urbino, with a cartoon focus. I worked in the Bozzetto studio as an animator, artistic director and director. I participated, as a character creator, in the film “Allegro Non Troppo”. I have collaborated on some Enzo D’Alò films in Lanterna Magica. Later I had my own production company. (Motusfilm) I have been an illustrator and author of children's books and the author of several animated short films awarded at various national and international festivals. I currently riturn to live in the Marche region .Here I work on portraits, and I paint personal interpretations of the human figure and portrait, two and three dimensional, with mixed techniques ranging from clay, digital, acrylic, photocopy, papier-mâché. Why the portraits? Because I'm curious about human nature. In the last exhibition I exhibited more than 50 plates of portraits of contemporary artists, where I not only show the face of the artist, but also his art that mixes and intertwines with my work, that is, I adapt to his style, and his style is adapted to my composition, sometimes even leaving out the verisimilitude, to give more space to what I perceive of that artist. From an early age I enjoyed drawing and coloring, and this propensity has never abandoned me, on the contrary it has been further increased by the artistic direction of the various schools I attended. In my works there is everything that I absorbed in the place of my childhood, that is: the masks, the carnival, the allegorical float, which were and still are a moment of happiness and joy and, especially my thirty-year profession as a cartoonist.
