About The Artwork
I made this mosaic to the design of the great maker of mosaics Martin Cheek (www.shopmartincheek.com) many years ago, at the beginning of my career. Now I wanted to rebuild it as I really like the calm, harmonious movement of the octopus and the water. Ceramic tiles create a soft brightness without gloss. Materials: Ceramic tiles, mortar (cement and marble dust), glue, plywood (the most suitable wood for mosaic). The mosaic has a hook for hanging and a mosaic frame (No frame needed) It consists of more than 2400 tiles

Charalambos Rallis is a Greek photographer and creator of mosaic works of art. He works slowly at each of his mosaic works, using small tiles (on average over four per square centimeter) which he cuts with great care, emphasizing the harmonious overall result. He mainly uses ceramic and marble tiles. The surface of the works emits a bright softness, without gloss.
