About The Artwork
“Ominous Androgynus” 2015 Installation in space of a living room. Object - plaster, silicone, pigment, soil, snail shells, epoxy resin; artificial lawn. (Couches, plant, blank frame on the wall and curtains are not for sale.) Installation reacting to the "Referendum about family protection" held in Slovakia on February 7th 2015. It was accompanied by agressive, blinded and paranoic campaign against sexual minorities in Slovakia from the side of referendum's initiators - "Alliance for family". I created an ironic installation representing some rainbow hermafroditic creature from the worst paranoic nightmarish fantasies of the fearful "traditional family protectors", demonically ascending from the floor in the middle of a symbolic "traditional living room" in a "traditional flat" of a "traditional family".
