About The Artwork

The Installation comprises of realistic plastic baby figures that I've transformed into cement and placed in water tanks, resembling the arrangement of featured preserved bodies of actual miscarried unborn children. None of them aborted, their bodies whole and carefully preserved. So at one moment they seem inert, still, lifeless creatures that they are, submerged in water but at the same time they appear to be in existence with bubbles assembling on their body surfaces, water being a constituent of cement and an important source of consolidation, giving rise to this absurd proposition or a paradox between something living and extinct, life and lifelessness.
