The Papers are warm, white, environmentally friendly and acid free. Some of The artworks have Deckled edges, making them suitable for floating over or under a matte. They are intimate and small in scale. I am passionate about scenic painting and the creative process. My work is influenced by the subtle nuances of light and texture that can be found in nature. I am inspired by the endless movement of water, wind, sunlight, reflections and shadows....evolving textures ...and all that comes with the gorgeous, vibrant colors of nature...particularly as the sun rises and sets.... GUANAJUATO, MEXICO The city has been designated as a masterpiece of human creative genius and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988. Today, Guanajuato is one of only 1.052 properties that have been given the distinction of being on the World Heritage List. The city is located in central Mexico in a narrow valley, which makes its streets narrow and winding. Most are alleys that cars cannot pass through, and some are long sets of stairs up the mountainsides. Many of the city’s thoroughfares are partially or fully underground. The historic center has numerous small plazas and colonial-era mansions, churches and civil constructions built using pink or green stone. It's known for its silver mining history and beautiful Baroque colonial architecture. Its network of narrow streets, alleyways and tunnels is typified by the Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss), so named because the balconies are close enough for a couple to reach across and kiss. In a former granary, the Alhóndiga de Granaditas is an art and local history museum with pre-Columbian exhibits. Festival Cervantino The world famous Festival Internacional Cervantino began in 1972 and is an annual cultural event, named in honor of Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote. The festival hosts events such as opera, theater productions, film showings, art exhibitions, academic conferences and talks, concerts and dance recitals. The performances occur in 70 venues over most of the month of October. Events are held throughout the city, with some in other locations such as Mexico City, Guadalajara and San Miguel de Allende. The most important venue in Guanajuato for the festival is the Juárez Theater, which is on the Jardín de la Unión (Union Garden). Other important venues in the city are the Teatro Principal, the Cervantes Theater, Art Galleries,Museums, Cultural Foundations and facilities of the University of Guanajuato.
