I began doing a male portrait, focusing on the eyes which are my favorite. They give the face expression, depth, soul, emotion and a window into someone's psyche. As this work progressed, it seemed my pent up emotions were pouring out onto this canvas. Impossible to keep it uplifting, energetic or enthusiastic. Plain and simple, it exudes what we are all feeling. The artwork is sealed with an interesting resin finish that is hi gloss and brings out some of my underlying strokes.
